Naperville Volunteers Launch ‘Feed the Children’ Campaign
Less fortunate children in developing countries across the world will soon benefit from live-saving meals through a feeding project organized by kindhearted Naperville residents. The group comprising 2,500 residents is expected to prepare more than 500,000 meals for the starving children in poorer countries.
Organized by the Naperville-arm of the global Feed My Starving Children Charity, the residents are more than delighted to transform hunger into hope. Starvation continues to be the leading cause of death among youths in developing countries across the world. It is commendable that so many residents have pledged to this charity initiative set for February 14-16.
Business owners, church groups and civic organizations have also made their contribution to the Feed the Starving Children Charity event. The organizers of the event intend to exceed their three-year goal of preparing 1.1 million meals to serve 3000 children every year. It brings great joy to the church leaders to see members of the local community put their own interests aside to serve a greater good. Those who are unable to attend the meal preparation event, the FSMC kindly asks for donation to cover some of the overhead costs.
The Naperville arm of this global hunger prevention project will be able to save children’s lives thanks to the overwhelming support from the local community. Bob Huebner of the St. Timothy Lutheran Church also commented on the growing number of sponsors that the charity has attracted. The event will be held at the GoodShepherdLutheranChurch.
