Rock Around The Clock
In 1954, Bill Haley and and his Comets released a cool rock-a-billy tune called Rock Around the Clock. It’s called rock-a-billy now but in the 50’s the genre was bona-fide rock and roll and one of the first songs of its kind to take the charts by storm.
Complete with upright base, horns, and a tempo sure to get you in a groove, and yes in the 50’s they had a groove.
On our Facebook Page a couple of weeks ago we referenced a Land Rover plant making preparations to begin 24 hour production in order to keep up with the demand of the new Land Rover Evoque. The Halewood, Merseyside plant (Haleywood “hmmmm” perhaps a future home of Bill Haley and his Comets fan club?) which is located in Liverpool, England is reporting their trial run of these overnight shifts were a success during the month of July. All systems are go, hiring continues, all to meet the demand for the 2013 Land Rover Evoque.
